Celebrating International Day of Yoga 2026
Harmony Walk: Yoga, Nature & Wellness – Celebrating International Day of Yoga 2026
On June 21, 2026, Imperial World School successfully organized Harmony Walk: Yoga, Nature & Wellness at Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park to mark the International Day of Yoga. The event brought together members of the IWS community, including parents and staff, for a refreshing morning dedicated to health, mindfulness, and connection with nature.
The day began with a guided nature hike through the scenic trails of Shivapuri, allowing participants to immerse themselves in the tranquility of the natural surroundings while promoting physical fitness and well-being. Following the hike, participants engaged in a rejuvenating yoga session led by yoga trainer Trish Dixit, focusing on Surya Namaskar, flexibility, and balance practices.
The wellness experience continued with a mindfulness meditation and sound healing session facilitated by wellness expert Sashi Gautam. Participants were encouraged to slow down, reflect, and embrace the calming benefits of mindfulness amidst the peaceful environment of the national park.
The event concluded with an appreciation session, and lunch, providing an opportunity for parents and school team members to interact, strengthen relationships, and celebrate the spirit of wellness together.
Through this initiative, Imperial World School reaffirmed its commitment to promoting holistic well-being and fostering meaningful connections within the school community. The Harmony Walk served as a memorable reminder of the importance of maintaining balance between physical health, mental wellness, and our connection with nature.
We thank all participants for their enthusiastic involvement and look forward to organizing more such wellness-focused programs in the future.
