Position Overview
The Driver will be responsible for providing safe, reliable, and timely transportation for authorized school-related purposes. The ideal candidate should have a valid driving licence, good knowledge of local routes and traffic conditions, and the ability to maintain the assigned vehicle responsibly.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive school vehicles safely and responsibly for authorized school-related activities.
- Follow all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and school policies.
- Ensure timely transportation according to assigned schedules.
- Maintain the cleanliness and proper condition of the assigned vehicle.
- Conduct routine checks of the vehicle and promptly report any mechanical or safety issues.
- Maintain records related to vehicle use, fuel, servicing, and maintenance as required.
- Plan and follow appropriate routes while considering traffic and road conditions.
- Demonstrate punctual, courteous, and professional behavior at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding school staff, students, and school-related information.
- Assist with transportation requirements for school events, meetings, programmes, trips, and other official activities when assigned.
- Ensure the safety and security of passengers and belongings during transportation.
- Coordinate effectively with the school administration and relevant staff regarding transportation requirements.
- Perform other transportation-related duties as assigned by the school administration.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driving licence appropriate for the assigned vehicle.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience preferred.
- Good knowledge of Kathmandu Valley roads, routes, traffic conditions, and major locations.
- Clean and responsible driving record.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Previous experience working in an institutional, corporate, or school environment will be an added advantage.
- Ability to communicate effectively in Nepali; basic knowledge of English will be an advantage.
